INTER LEAGUE COMPETITIONS
A history of the PFA Champions League,
PFA cup & JUS cup.

Play by e-mail football management games grew in popularity with the growth of the Internet.
MSWL was the first popular software and ESMS's ease of use meant the number of leagues began to grow.
Inevitably ESMS soon had it's own version of FIFA, EOFA [Electronic Online Football Association] and the EOFA Champions League & Cup soon came into being.
But there were problems, badly run leagues dropping out or failing to submit rosters or teamsheets, accusations of leagues boosting their skill levels to help them win the tournaments.
After a couple of seasons of this some of the better run more established leagues broke away to form the PFA [Professional Football Association].
JAFL, GISL, SNIFL & FFL were the founding leagues, the first finals were played on Christmas eve 2001.
For the next season UCFL & UKIFL had joined and the PFA competitions were set to grow with 6 members, but it was not to be.
GISL, SNIFL & FFL pulled out late so the other 3 leagues went ahead with hastily arranged tournaments which concluded in August 2002.
SSL joined for the next season and although UKIFL dropped out in 2004 and other leagues have come and gone JAFL, UCFL & SSL have remained consistent members and since 2007 have been the only members.
JUS cup.
In 2003 JAFL & UCFL combined their KO competitions for lower league teams in the JAFL-UCFL cup.
In 2004 SSL joined and the competition soon shortended it's name to the JUS cup [JAFL-UCFL-SSL].
JAFL came to an end in November 2015 and the decsion was made to bring the curtain down on the inter league competitions.
